The 10th Annual President's Commencement Colloquy was an invigorating discussion about "Honoring Tradition, Responding to a Changing World." President Shirley Ann Jackson noted that the colloquy is now a firmly rooted tradition at this important time of transition in the Rensselaer academic calendar.
Of this year's honorands, President Jackson said, "This year we are privileged to be honoring leaders of each branch of the U.S. government -- executive, legislative, and judicial -- along with pioneers in the technology and academic settings. Our 2012 honorands exemplify that cross-section of government, business, and academic leadership and achievement that come to the fore in responding to and shaping our changing world."
